Invite your friends to join you at the auction and share the online Absentee Bidding option with them as well.

How Absentee Bidding Works:

Registering as an Absentee Bidder is a way for you to bid for teapot artwork if you can’t attend the auction event in person. By placing an absentee bid for an item, you are authorizing an AAW staff member, Board or committee member to bid on that artwork during the live auction event on your behalf, up to the maximum bid you specify.

How to Register
Download and complete an Absentee Bidding Registration Form, and fax to: (651) 484-1724. You may also download the form, complete, scan and send as an email attachment . For security purposes, you may leave the credit card fields blank, and we’ll call you over the phone for that information. Please do not mail your registration. All absentee bidder forms must be received by June 11, 2010 at 4:00 pm CST.

General Rules
The AAW assumes no risk, liability or responsibility for the authenticity, quality or value of the items. Estimates of values and descriptions have been made based on information provided by the artists. Everything is sold “as is” and is subject to the following conditions and restrictions.

Bid Tickets
All sales are recorded and tracked by the bidder number which will be assigned to you.

Live Auction
The highest bidder (present or by absentee proxy) for any item shall be the purchaser. In the event of a dispute, the auctioneer shall have the sole and final discretion to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer or re-sell the article in question.

Payment
Purchases made by absentee bidding will be charged to the purchaser’s credit card at the close of the auction. All sales are final. Please note that no sales tax or additional auction fees will be applied to the purchase. Successful bidders are purchasers of items of value. As such, the bids are not tax-deductible except in the amount by which the purchase price exceeds the item’s fair market value. Please keep the invoice for your records and consult with your tax advisor for details.

Shipping and Insurance
Shipping and insurance costs will be added to your credit card charge, based on the object’s weight, transit distance and value. Objects will be shipped via UPS within 10 to 15 business days following the auction.
