For this unjuried exhibit, woodturners and glass beadmakers co-created a wide variety of works in wood and glass. For many, the team pairings were basically artistic ‘blind dates’ – each artist knew next to nothing about the other. For others it was a chance to work with friends, peers or family members in a new way.
Because this was a new and risky way of working we chose not to jury this show, but to exhibit the work from all of the artistic teams brave enough to give this unusual method of collaboration a try.
