WIT Presents

WIT Presents is a series of webinars featuring women artists. Through WIT Presents, we endeavor to inspire creativity and create community among women via conversations and interactive studio tours. WIT Presents was created by the AAW WIT Committee during the COVID-19 pandemic as a means to keep women woodturners connected with one another. The format consists of the artist’s presentation of her work, a Q&A session, and a tour of the artist's shop.

WIT Presents: 2022 Virtual WIT EXCHANGE Presentation of Projects
June 4, 2022 at 3pm Eastern Time

WIT Presents:  Panel - Ena Dubnoff, Melissa Engler, Janine Wang
May 7, 2022, at 4pm Eastern Time

Join us Saturday, May 7, at 4 PM Eastern Time, to hear from a talented panel of women woodturners, each working in a distinctly different style, but sharing keen attention to form and detail. The artists will each give a 10-12 minute presentation on their life and work, followed by a Q&A period moderated by artist and WIT committee chair, Kimberly Winkle.

WIT Presents events aren't demonstrations of turning techniques, instead offering attendees new insights into the inspirations, influences, and creative processes behind the artists' work.

WIT Presents: Tania Radda
March 5, 2022, at 4pm Eastern Time

Join WIT online for an energizing session with the remarkable Tania Radda who will share insights into her life, inspirations, and techniques. Tania's work combines turning, carving and the use of compressed wood to create work that is both fantastical and technically challenging. An experienced artist, Tania is a 2016 Niche Award winner, and is known for her teapots and use of color. She was a recipient of a POP Fellowship award and is frequent contributor to the POP annual exhibition. She lives and works in Arizona.

This session is NOT a demonstration. Rather, it is a discussion intended to motivate and inspire your own creativity.
