Waves of Grain, the 2017 juried and invitational member exhibition of the American Association of Woodturners, provides an exciting look at the diverse work being created in the woodturning field today.

Featuring the work of thirty artists, both professional and amateur, Waves of Grain honors both the rich farming history of Missouri, location of the 2017 AAW International Woodturning Symposium, and the inherent beauty and character of wood's grain.

Waves of Grain jurors were Michael Wickerson, Associate Professor and Chair of the Kansas City Art Institutes’ sculpture program; professional artist and turner Hayley Smith; and the collector and turner Mark Wollschlager.
