Lot # 123 - View 2\nJoyce McCullough - "Turning Leaves", 2.8" W x 5.4" H. This piece was created by turning Walnut for the base and relief carving Maple for the top leaves. The leaves were meant to resemble the beauty of freshly fallen leaves. "I have been sculpting wood into wildlife birds and animals for 17 years. Turning became an obsession in 2005 when I realized I can combine the two art forms and stay with the realism of wildlife while creating a turned piece with some character. I love nature and enjoy bringing its beauty and splendor into my pieces."
