As of August 2009, the AAW website was ranked at number 100,599 out of the top 1,000,000 most popular sites on earth in terms traffic. And, with 62,119 other sites linked to ours, we come in at number 10,253 in terms of site linkages. This policy establishes the process and procedures for paid advertising on the AAW website. Terms of our advertising policy are as follows:
1. To place an ad on the AAW website, the vendor must be a current Business/Professional member of the AAW.
2. Vendor ads may take one of the following forms:
A. A simple link from the AAW website to the vendor’s website…$25 per year
B. A banner ad, with website link, priced by size:
a.Measuring no larger than 350 x 150 pixels (1/2 page width)…$100 per
year
b.Measuring no larger than 700 x 300 pixels (whole page width)…$200 per
yearC. A video ad, with website link, where the vendor’s video file is located on the
AAW server, priced by video length:a.Video ad is less than 1 minute long…$250 per year
b.Video ad is between 1 and 3 minutes…$500 per year
c.Video as is between 3 and 10 minutes…$1,000 per yearD. A combination banner and video ad
a.Combo of Ba + Ca …$300 per year
b.Combo of Ba + Cb …$550 per year
c.Combo of Ba + Cc …$1,050 per year
d.Combo of Bb + Ca …$400 per year
e.Combo of Bb + Cb …$650 per year
f. Combo of Bb + Cc …$1,150 per year3. All ads must be submitted to the AAW Webmaster for review and approval prior to the AAW agreeing to post the ad. The ad must be tasteful and factual. The AAW may at its sole discretion, reject a vendor’s ad, with or without stated cause.
4. Payment for the ad is due to the St. Paul AAW office within thirty calendar days of written notice from the AAW that the ad has been accepted.
5. The ad will be posted on the AAW website within 15 days of full payment, and will run for one calendar year from the date of posting on the AAW website.
6. Location of vendor ads on the “Woodturning Suppliers” page will be prioritized based on the fee paid by the vendor:
A. Video/Banner ads …top of the page
B. Video/link ads …second level grouping from the top
C. Banner ads …third level grouping from the top
D. Simple link ads …forth level grouping from the topAds within each of these four grouping will be periodically rotated within the grouping so that each vendor is given a proportional top billing opportunity within that group.
7. Follow-on year ads will be priced at 80% of the first year’s ad costs if the ad is unchanged. If the ad changes in any way, the annual prices noted in item 2. (above) will prevail.
