Title: Aspen Bowl

Other info: This exquisitely turned bowl is Spalted Aspen wood including its natural edge. The bowl is turned 1/16" thin for the piercing, which highlights six Aspen leaves. The leaves were woodburned and colored their usual bright yellow fall change of season color. The 7" diameter bowl is supported with a pedestal foot and stands 5" tall. This wood is common to the area in which the artist lives and the pattern for the leaves was taken from Aspen trees in his own yard. This piece was included in a wood art show at the Rawlings Public Library in Pueblo, Colorado, December, 2008.

Other info: A trio of Osage orange wood goblets turned as a set. Each one has pyrography unique to the old southwest Pueblo Indians and highlighted with piercings. This theme was chosen by the artist as they were created in Pueblo, Colorado.
