Title: Sea Goddess
Price: $940
Dimensions: 14" x 5" X 5"
Materials: Maple Burl; Copper; twig
Other info: My footed vessel series was developed in 2002 during my residency at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. In looking for a different way to raise a turned object up off the ground, I came up with adding a separate foot. A vast amount of flexibility was the result. As I worked with footed vessels, the feet became legs and the vessels became more figurative. The feet not only raise the piece off the ground, but also allow me to make the pieces lean and create movement. The manipulation of this slant with the use of varying legs and feet; the use of countless colors and textures, shapes and sizes, work together to help me craft these reflections of the self.

Title: Acorn Box
Price: $175 - SOLD
Dimensions: 4" X 2.625" X 2.625"
Materials: Figured Maple; Mesquite Burl
Other info: The White Oak Acorn found in the midwest inspired my interpretation of this box. I sometimes stray from natures color scheme and reverse it or pick woods that complement nature's colors and add an eccentrically turned finial to each box. Each box is unique and all are finished with lacquer, which is rubbed to a satin sheen, and then each is waxed and buffed.
