Other info: Part of an on going series of tall-ish cylinder vases. This set comes from some peach trees I planted then grafted to almond. After a number of years it became apparent that its too cold here to grow almonds , so some of the trees I re-grafted to apricot but these two came out. The graft union is about half way up , with the peach on top. The checks are stitched with plum wood.
These pieces were in the 'Turning to the Future' show at the Grovewood Gallery in Ashville NC. in spring of 2009.
