AAW SYMPOSIUM

Chapters Meeting
We encourage all Chapter officers who plan to attend the AAW 31st International Symposium in Kansas City, June 22-25, 2017, to attend the Chapters Meeting on Saturday, June 24 from 9:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. The meeting will be an opportunity for you to be involved in the AAW planning process for the next 12 months. You'll have an opportunity to offer input, suggestions, and be part of the planning for the next series of initiatives designed to strengthen our partnership with chapters. Please be there to discuss the needs of your Chapter in an open forum.

In addition, we'll provide you with free materials that you'll be able to bring back to your chapter and use for marketing, fundraising, and prizes.
  • American Woodturner journals are a perfect giveaway for new club members who are not yet members of the AAW. At the Chapters Meeting, will have issues of the June 2017 journal available for you to take back to your Chapter.
  • Woodturning Today: A Dramatic Revolution, a 256-page full color, softcover book, is an ideal reward, prize, or fundraising item. At the Chapters Meeting, will have issues of this special edition book available for you to take back to your Chapter.

Additionally, Chapter Officers will be able to download the agenda and notes for the Chapters Meeting scheduled for Saturday, June 24 from 9:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. We recommend that your install the app before arriving in Kansas City to save time.
Chapter Brochures for Nonprofit Table
The AAW Symposium offers a nonprofit brochure table on Friday and Saturday, where Symposium attendees browse what's going on in the woodturning world and collect brochures about classes, schools, regional events-and Chapters. If you plan to attend the Symposium, it's not too late to hand deliver your Chapter brochures to the table, which will be located in the Level 2 lobby and registration area.

We are here for you, and value your continued partnership, participation, and support. If you have questions concerns, or need assistance, please contact the AAW home office at 877-595-9094 (toll free), Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m., to 4:30 p.m. CST.
