Becoming a Board Member
Members of the AAW elect a nine-member Board to volunteer their time and energy to represent the membership in moving the AAW forward. Members in good standing for the prior three years are eligible to run.
Annual Call for Nominees
The Nominating Committee will select six qualified candidates from those who volunteer. Members will choose from these six and elect three new Board members each year to serve a 3-year term, beginning January of each year. If you are interested in serving on the Board, send the following information to the Executive Director by email no later than May 1:
The Nominating Committee will review application materials and schedule phone interviews in May and early June. Six candidates for the three open Board seats will be presented in the "American Woodturner" journal, ballots will be distributed the fall, and election results will be announced later in the year.
