2004 Symposium Schedule Updated (5/9/04)

Symposium schedule was updated. Also NEW info is posted (on the 2004 symposium page) on the Exhibition of Florida Woodturners work at the Orlando Museum of Art during the entire month of July.

2003 Symposium Galleries created (3/30/04)

The 2003 Symposium had great attendance. Please enjoy these 90 online photos representing the event.

Online Gallery Index created (3/21/04)

The "Quick Links" index at the start of the Gallery page is new content to enhance access to the online galleries. All of the annual Symposium webpages are now fully converted to the new website design format.

This means the website conversion is now 100% complete. During the Symposium webpage conversion, all links and content were reviewed for accuracy. If you find mistakes please email the AAW Webmaster

Light Gray T-Shirt on Logo Products page (3/7/04)

The light gray t-shirt was previously available and has been brought back by popular demand.

Updates to the home page and news page will not be listed. Those pages are designed to change frequently.

Online Order form redesigned (9/8/04)

The online product order form was redesigned. If you go to the Products portion of the website then you order a product, you'll see the new order form. If you're just curious, a "safe" demo page is available so you can see the old form and the new form....but there is no way you can accidently enter an order in these demo pages. The "submit order" button is not on these demo pages.

Numerous website changes (6/5/04)

We've been busy keeping you updated via the website. Listed below are the changes from 5/9 - 6/4.

AAW Local Chapters

The AAW Local Chapters function was entirely rewritten, now totally up to date, (thanks to Paul Vonk, new co-webmaster)

Several new fields are being displayed on the page including Meeting Place, Area Served, Number of Members.

Logo Products page

Now includes a listing and description of the new AAW Brass Buckle

And you can also order the buckle online now.

Video Productions page

Now includes 99% complete detailed listing of all AAW videos

Includes complete content listings for all the AAW Symposium videos

Special Publications Products page

Now includes 99% complete detailed listing of all the AAW Special Publications

New Forum and Online Gallery (4/24/04)

The AAW is pleased to announce two new website features. A new text forum has been setup. Also an online photo gallery has been setup to allow folks to post and discuss pictures. The objectives of these features are to provide a more dynamic, community atmosphere thru the AAW website.

New galleries created for Exhibitions 2001 - "Nature Takes A Turn" and 2003 - "Put A Lid On It". Links to those galleries also embedded in symposium and product pages. Special products page updated with description and pics of exhibition catalogs

AAW Online Calendar (3/26/04)

The AAW online calendar now shows upcoming events. The calendar is in the News section of the website. There are 2 views:

You can also get to the calendar thru the "News" menu tab at the top of all AAW webpages.

AAW Critique/Evaluation Form (3/6/04)

This is the evaluation form which was originally referenced in the Spring 2004 American Woodturner Journal. One way to improve your woodturning skills is to encourage a critique or evaluation of your current work. The AAW Evaluation Form will guide you through a constructive review.
