COLUMBIA STAR: Palmetto Woodturners wants to turn beautiful wood into meals for families in SC (08/12/2015)

Wooden bowls for silent auction Palmetto Woodturners, part of the American Association of Woodturners, will host a Wooden Bowl Fundraiser to help Harvest Hope Food Bank. Members have been working hard this summer to make custom bowls for Harvest Hope to sell at a signature silent auction Thursday, August 27 at the Hall at Senate’s End, 320 Senate Street.

Participants may bid on favorite handcrafted wooden bowls during the silent auction, and all proceeds will help Harvest Hope’s mission to bring meals to fill the bowls of struggling families. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door, and will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, wine, and beer.

For more details contact Debbie Summers at 254-4432 extension 1145, or at dsummers@harvesthope.org.
