An accident at the lathe can happen with blinding suddenness; respiratory and other problems can also build over years.

 

Take the appropriate precautions when you turn.  Among the most important of these is the use of face shields, safety glasses and dust masks.  It is also important to observe all manufacturers' safety guidelines.  Following them, along with the safety information below, will help you continue to enjoy woodturning years into the future.
