About the Forum features
A) Registration is required to use these features.
B) You will only have to register once. The two features (forum and gallery) share the same registration system.
C) For the photo gallery, both registered and non-registered folks may view the pictures and comments. But only registered folks may post pictures and comments.
Features of the text forum include:
ability to "subscribe" to threads via email notification when a discussion thread receives new messages
avatar support...avatars are pictures which you can use to represent your online persona and profile
personal profiles that help everyone get to know one another.
The profiles allow you to list various personal items such as your website, your bio, etc
private messaging
for the moderators - "stickies" (announcements) can be placed at the top of the board for important "should see" items
more formatting and message font options
a members list for registered users
ability for you to reset forgotten passwords yourself
Features of the online photo gallery are extensive. The online gallery allows the woodturning community to post pictures and share discussions about the pictures. Features include:
ability to post and discuss pictures
formats supported are jpg, png, and gif
mpegs and animations not supported
you can have your own online woodturning gallery
