Woodturning Trade Show

See the latest and greatest woodturning equipment and products up close and in action. AAW's enormous trade show will be jam-packed with state-of-the-art woodturning lathes, accessories, tools, supplies, wood, and more. Plus, observe a range of ongoing demonstrations, see tricks and techniques, and hold extraordinary tools in your own hands.

Exhibitions & Galleries

Discover the art and craft of woodturning. Celebrate stunning contemporary sculptural and functional works in wood by established and emerging artists from eleven countries. See the largest show of turned-wood objects under one roof.

Benefit Auctions

Bid on exquisite museum-quality works in wood. Proceeds support the AAW's nonprofit grant, outreach, and educational woodturning programs.   
 

Live/Online Auction for Educational Opportunity Grant (EOG) Program

Proceeds from the sale of pieces donated by our members go directly to fund educational grant projects submitted by individual woodturners, AAW chapters, schools, and other organizations. Items for the EOG Live Auction will be on display in the Instant Gallery. View work and/or bid online at http://www.auction2017.woodturner.org.

Live/Online Auction for Professional Outreach Program (POP)

An international group of woodturning artists is invited to create small-scale work around a central topic. The 2017 theme, “Sphere - Second Round,” offered 44 established and emerging artists from 11 countries a wide-open field on which to play. Silent Auction

AAW Silent Auction items delivered to the Symposium by the attendees will be on display in the Instant Gallery area. On Saturday evening, all of the silent auction items will be moved to Great Hall 3501 for viewing.

Charitable Projects

Buy a handcrafted bowl of any size for $25 to support Variety - the Children's Charity of Greater Kansas City, which offers mobility for children living with disabilities. See the display of woodturned boxes made by AAW members for Beads of Courage, which supports local children coping with serious illnesses.
